How do you recover a deleted folder from active directory?

I accidently deleted a my documents folder off of someones H: drive, and I was wondering what is the quickest easiest way to recover it? Our active directory is ran through Windows server 2003. All I need to do is recover the folder.

    If you actually went to the folder in which the users home directory was places and shift+deleted it then you will need third party tools to recover it from the HDD if it is still on there. But if you just changed a setting in active directory, then i believe it should be in Profile tab. There you get to choose where theire profile is stored, or from the sounds of it you might mean their home directory which is at the bottom in which you can assign a drive letter, such as H and point it to a directory somewhere on the network.

    There’s no way over the network to do it… you’ll need to run a file recovery utility on the physical hard drive that H: represents, and cross your fingers that the data hasn’t been overrun already.

    go to recycle bin, select deleted folder & click on restore
